Abhishek Shankar, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Lady Hardinge Medical College & SSK Hospital, Delhi, India. He has worked at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi from 2012-2019 in different capacities i.e. Resident, Research Fellow, and Faculty. He is a NCI Cancer Prevention Fellow and recipient of many National and International awards. He is a Member and Chair of many National and International Committees. Adam Płużański is medical oncologist and assistant professor in Department of Lung Cancer and Chest Tumours, The Maria Skłodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology in Warsaw. He is Head of Therapeutic Board in National Research Institute of Oncology in Warsaw and serves as Head of the Clinical Oncology Team in The Institute. Graduated in 2002 from Medical University of Lodz where he completed his PhD in 2008. Dr Pluzanski participated in numerous clinical trials as principal investigator. He is a member of Polish Society of Clinical Oncology and The International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC). His professional interests are focused on personalized treatment and immunotherapy of lung cancer, supportive care and geriatric oncology. Dr Pluzanski is author and co-author of book chapters, monographies and articles published in peer reviewed journals including Journal of Clinical Oncology, Lancet Oncology and New England Journal of Medicine.

Dr. Addeo completed his training at the University of Turin in Italy, and got awarded with MD in oncology at the University school  of medicine of Turin (Italy) he spent 3 years (2002-2005) in an immunology laboratory exploring the role of dendritic cells and IL18 binding protein in cancer progression on chemotherapy.

Dr. Addeo has been working on thoracic malignancies since 2006 and he is the lead thoracic oncologist within the oncology department at the Geneva University Hospital.  He is the author and co-author of several publications on international peer-reviewed journal (JCO, Lancet Oncology, Annals of Oncology, Jama Oncology, etc).

He is the lead for several translational research project his department:  his main interests at the moment are liquid biopsy, biomarkers in thoracic malignancies , PRO and digital technology development in oncology.

Dr. Alona Zer is a senior medical oncology consultant and head of the thoracic oncology unit at the Davidoff Cancer Center, Rabin Medical Center, Israel.

After receiving her MD from the Tel-Aviv University, Dr. Zer completed a residency in medical oncology and radiotherapy at the Rabin Medical Center (affiliated to Tel-Aviv University). She subsequently completed two clinical research fellowships at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre / University of Toronto: Thoracic Oncology and Sarcoma (2013-2015), where she focused on KRAS and ALK molecular subsets of NSCLC, and drug development for soft tissue sarcomas.

Dr Zer is a primary investigator in multiple multicenter and internal clinical trials. She is the Chair of the Israeli sarcoma oncology group since 2019, and chaired the Israeli oncology drug reimbursement committee in 2020. She is a senior lecturer at the Sackler School of Medicine Tel-Aviv University.

Avi Schroeder is an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology where he heads the Laboratory for Targeted Drug Delivery and Personalized Medicine Technologies (https://www.schroederlab.com/ ).

Dr. Schroeder conducted his Postdoctoral studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and his PhD jointly at the Hebrew and Ben Gurion Universities.

Avi is the recipient of more than 30 national and international awards, including named a KAVLI Fellow, the Intel Nanotechnology-, TEVA Pharmaceuticals-, and the Wolf Foundation Krill Awards. Avi is the author of more than 50 research papers inventor of 19 patents and co-founder of several startup companies based on these discoveries.

Schroeder is a member of Israel Young National Academy of Sciences, and the President of the Israel Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Prof. Dorith Shaham, M.D. 

Prof. Dorith Shaham is the Director of CT and Cardiothoracic Imaging Unit at the Department of Medical Imaging, Hadassah Ein Kerem, Chair of the Clinical Teaching Committee at the Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Medicine and Deputy Editor of Journal of Thoracic Imaging.

Prof. Shaham earned her MD from the Hebrew University-Hadassah School of Medicine in 1988 and completed her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Hadassah in 1995. In 1997, Prof. Shaham completed a Clinical Fellowship in the Division of Thoracic Radiology at the New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center, and in 2003 she returned for a research fellowship at the same institution.

Upon her return to Israel and Hadassah in 1998, Prof. Shaham established the first Lung Cancer Screening Program in Israel at Hadassah, as a part of the International Early Lung Cancer Screening Program (I-ELCAP). She has studied the cost-effectiveness of low-dose CT-based lung cancer screening in Israel and participated in multiple I-ELCAP studies, investigating various aspects related to lung cancer screening.

Prof. Shaham has headed a steering committee appointed by the Israeli Ministry of Health in 2017, to establish a National Program for the Implementation of Lung Cancer Screening in Israel

Dr. Sabo Edmond is the director of the department of Pathology at the Carmel Medical Center and is also a clinical associate professor at the Technion Rappaport Faculty of Medicine. Edmond graduated in 1988 from the Faculty of Medicine in Iasi, Romania and he did his residency at the Bnai Zion Medical Center in Haifa. He also worked for 5 years in the molecular pathology core of the department of Pathology at the Rhode Island Medical Center and was appointed as Assistant Professor at the Brown University.

Edmond is also the author of 300 peer reviewed manuscripts.

Prof. Elad Schiff begun his medical studies in complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM), including reflexology, shiatsu, acupuncture, and hypnosis. Concurrently, he studied conventional medicine receiving Cum Laude from Hadassah Faculty of Medicine for BSc, and Cum Laude for MD thesis at the Technion Faculty of Medicine respectively. Following his residency in Internal Medicine at Bnai Zion Medical Center, Prof. Schiff completed a two-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine, at the University of Arizona.  In 2010, he opened the Integrative Medicine Services at Bnai Zion Medical Center, through which CAM treatments are provided in the hospital’s departments, highlighting CAM provision to in-patients with complicated, acute medical conditions. He is the director of Internal Medicine B, and the Integrative Medicine services at Bnai-Zion Medical Center, Haifa, Israel, and an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Technion. Prof. Schiff has conducted many studies focusing on CAM in the hospital setting. He has also published numerous articles in high-impact-factor journals on integration of CAM in hospital settings.
